At Kewaigue School, there is nothing more important to us than the physical, emotional and spiritual welfare of our pupils. For this reason we regard the need for Safeguarding Children from all harm as vitally important. This school recognises its legal and moral duty to promote the well-being of children, and protect them from harm, and respond to child abuse.
Teachers and other members of staff (including volunteers) in the school are an integral part of the child safeguarding process. All staff and helpers should familiarise themselves with the school’s Safeguarding Children Policy, to ensure the basic procedures are followed If a child is at risk of suffering harm, and know how to report concerns or suspicions. Our Safeguarding Policy details the procedures and appropriate actions we will take in the event of issues or concerns relating to the safeguarding of pupils.
