Enjoying learning and achieving, together
Mrs Gilmour visited the school this afternoon, to answer the children's questions about the recent history of the school. Mrs Gilmour taught at Kewaigue from 1977 for 39 years, so was able to explain just how much things have changed in the last 50 years.
Kewaigue School is 130 years old today. To celebrate the children and staff have dressed up as Victorians. They have also taken part in a typical Victorian classroom and carried out other activities to mark this special day. To see more photographs - click here
Kewaigue School opened its doors on the 10th October 1892. If you have an association with the school, please visit our exhibition on Thursday 13th between 3pm & 4.30pm or Friday 14th October between 1.30pm & 4.30pm.
On Friday as part of Manx Lit Fest Mrs Creasey’s class were given a unique opportunity to meet an Author from London. Dr Christopher Riley came to speak to the children and share his wide range of knowledge on Space. The children were amazed to discover that he was not only an author but a filmmake…
