School Chess

Over the past few weeks, pupils across school have been developing their chess skills and recently took part in a school competition to decide who will represent Kewaigue at the Schools’ Chess Congress on Friday 9th May.

Mrs Wilson has been extremely impressed with the way the children approached the competition, commenting:

“They took everything in their stride – praising their opponent when they were beaten, shaking hands after each game, and thoughtfully reflecting on where the game had been won or lost.”

Their sportsmanship, resilience and positive attitudes were a credit to them and we wish our representatives the very best of luck at the Congress.
