Today Mr Perkins, from Douglas Lifeboat Station, came to visit Kewaigue. He told us all about how Sir William Hillary first set up the RNLI and why. He also talked to us about how the boats and the equipment used has changed over the last 200 years. At the end of his presentation he dressed Lewis up in the kit that they use today. Once Lewis was fully dressed Mr Perkins inflated his lifejacket. That made everyone jump!
Thanks you very much Mr Perkins for coming to visit us.
