On Wednesday Staff and Children welcomed Simon Murray, the published author and illustrator to Kewaigue School. The day began with a whole school assembly where Mr Murray introduced his book character Icky Doo Dah. Mr Murray has had several books in this series published, which he shared with the children. He then went on to talk about how he created this character and how he create his illustrations.Throughout the day Mr Murray worked with each class, showing them different drawing techniques so that they could create their own illustration of Icky Doo Dah. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the day and it has been lovely to see the children applying the skills that the learnt in the session to their drawings in class and at playtimes.
